Maurice Marais, Head of USAIRE South West introduced the Conference and the top-level speaker, Mr. Thierry Baril.
In his very efficient presentation, Mr. Thierry Baril, highlighted the huge changes underway in the aerospace industry (manufacturing ramp-up, new business models and players in the helicopter and space sectors, new manufacturing processes, new technologies…). This leads to changes in the organizations and requires the personnel to be adapted, trained, assessed, managed, and led accordingly. This is the reason why of the PULSE program to shake up the organization and move to brand new practices. More and more people from various countries are realtime collaborating in a more cooperative, more connected, more agile environment. New tools are implemented to ease these new ways of working and these new rules (Workday is replacing SAP). HR is anticipating and preparing these changes including social and professional feedback, 360 continuous assessment, failure culture, new competencies (data scientists), recruiting more women, more young people, people from more diverse countries (India…). In the future, organizations will probably turn their model into a “staff on demand” approach. Last Mr. Thierry Baril announced the coming inauguration of the modern Leadership University in Blagnac (including hotel, restaurants…).
