Post from Rajendra Prasad KOVI: “Aerospace MBA Cohort IIMB+TBS… The First Movers”

On behalf of Satya Iyengar…

To the Class of 2017,

Our classes may have come to an end, but the real thing begins now, I suppose. What I saw in all so far was a down to earth attitude pursuing a real Aerospace dream “ Sky is the lower limit”. Sitting in Heathrow and reflecting,  I can roll back to the very first session of the personality testing – MBTI, and yesterday, ending with a simulation exercise.

There has been a lot of learning within the class, there were diverse teams, different backgrounds and a common purpose, which brought us together. A few of us may have pulled the average age higher – it was a humble effort to verify “age does not matter if matter does not age”.

I salute all the younger chaps in the class for getting some of us closer to the limitless potential of technology, helping us with gadgets and gizmos, most importantly the patience to engage in meaningful discussions.

I think the Q&A in each lecture has been quite thought provoking and confirming every perspective is a new opportunity. There were discussions, debates, and sometimes walked off in disagreement but that is the true state of a student seeking answers. The healthy banter , the discussions, the teaming through projects have forged new relations. We just need will to stay connected, and some may get there sooner and some later but in the end… it will all be regression to the mean, is that a threat or an artefact ?– well it “depends!”

I quote Nelson Mandela here “A bright future beckons. The onus is on us, through hard work, honesty and integrity, to reach for the stars”.

A few of us may have had anxious moments, uncertainty at work, but we have been lucky to come through, sometimes I miss GC, I know he would have been a lot of fun too, but…

Good Luck and God Bless…
