Planes 3 is the third and final film in the Planes trilogy. The film will be produced by DisneyToon Studios. It was hinted after Carlos Alazraqui said to the Comedy Film Nerds in March 2013 that the franchise will be a trilogy. A Disney staff member later told a person of TAG Blog in October 2013 that the film has been put in story development.
